Isn't it any wonder why DAPs, DACs, Amps, DAC/Amp combos, speakers or majority of audio products are block/square/rectangle-shaped? What's up with manufacturers' obsession with blocks? How come the more expensive the audio gear, the more blocky it looks? Is there a block god? All these questions don't matter because our main focus today is triangle-shaped audio products.
Triangular audio products are mighty rare that there are only 7 known to exist! Disclaimer: As far as I know.
This septet consists of the following:
- PonoPlayer (DAP)
- Sound Blaster X7 (DAC)
- Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3 (Portable bluetooth speaker)
- Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3 Plus (Portable bluetooth speaker)
- Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3XL (Portable bluetooth speaker)
- Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle (Portable bluetooth speaker)
- Gracety Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speakers V4.0 (Portable bluetooth speaker)
Note: I'll update this list whenever I find new DAPs, DACs, amps, bluetooth speakers, etc to include. Feel free to suggest whatever's missing.
It's almost suspicious as to why audio companies avoid making products that resemble a pyramid! It's as if they're hiding something - where famous celebrities, prominent figures and probably everyone - are rumored to be a part of - Maslow's hierarchy of needs! Or being associated with one of the infamous tooth killers in the shape of a - gasp - pyramid.
Closing words
Embrace the triangle! Fight the block monopoly!
